Cheap innovative back yard poultry cages were made in the mechanical workshop of Kits. This was done with the help of Agricultural students and supportive staff using old Motor bike tyres, bamboo, plastic sheets and tags, and hard board etc. The cages were supplied to Pachanampathi village with birds to strengthen their back yard poultry rearing. The unit cost of production of a cage came less than Rs 400/00.
